Stage 3A and 4A landscape works update

10 July 2025

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) would like to advise residents that the final civil and landscaping works within Stage 3A and 4A at Carseldine Village are now complete.

These worked included the construction of footpath connections to each terrace home to the main footpath network, planting and mulching between homes and footpaths, and the installation of garden beds in laneways and along the boundaries of corner lots. These treatments were delivered to match the standard seen in Stage 2 and were completed in accordance with Brisbane City Council’s approved designs and specifications.

We also wish to confirm that these areas – roads, footpaths and verge landscaping – have now been formally handed over to Brisbane City Council as public assets.

With this handover now complete, EDQ is no longer responsible for maintaining these areas. Brisbane City Council has advised that while there are no local laws requiring residents to maintain the verge adjacent to their property, residents are encouraged to mow grass and maintain garden beds to help uphold the clean and tidy appearance of the neighbourhood.

If you are a resident who is frail, infirm, or elderly, you can request to be added to Council’s maintenance schedule through Council’s Contact Centre (3403 8888).

Thank you for your continued support and contribution to the growing Carseldine Village community. If you have any queries, please send an email to engagement@edq.qld.gov.au.
