Supporting Koala Conservation at Currumbin Eco-Parkland

15 December 2025

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary are proud partners in the Currumbin Eco-Parkland initiative, helping to deliver meaningful conservation outcomes for one of Australia’s most iconic native species.

As part of this partnership:

  • A dedicated Eucalyptus Plantation has been established, with over 3,400 trees already planted by the Sanctuary’s Plantations team. These trees will provide a vital food source for the more than 400 koalas cared for by Currumbin Wildlife Hospital each year.
  • Construction is underway on a purpose-built Koala Rehabilitation Facility, designed to support koalas on their journey to recovery under the expert care of the Hospital’s veterinary team.

These initiatives will strengthen local conservation efforts and enhance the Eco-Parkland’s role as a sanctuary for wildlife and a place of learning and connection for the community.
