Echo Park Now Open

The new Echo Park is now open to the public. This beautifully landscaped 1.8-hectare park offers a welcoming space for relaxation, recreation, and community connection.

The park features a unique nature play area, including:

  • A timber teepee with carved details.
  • A trunk ladder, stilt walker, and basket swing.
  • A balance trail for active play.
  • Custom carvings depicting musical notes and instruments, celebrating the birdsong that inspired the name Echo Park.

Echo Park has been designed to encourage outdoor activity, imaginative play, and a deeper appreciation of the natural environment.

Conservation Area Trails Opening Before End of 2025

The 3.45-hectare preserved bushland area is almost complete, with walking trails planned to open before the end of 2025. These trails will provide residents with a peaceful and immersive experience in nature.

To enhance your journey through the conservation area, interpretive signage points will be installed, exploring themes such as:

  • Listening and Watching Country
  • Traditional uses of plants and trees
  • Caring for Country
  • Crafting with native plant materials
  • British settlement and the changing landscape

These trails and signage will offer opportunities for reflection, learning, and connection to the cultural and ecological heritage of the area.

We look forward to welcoming you into these new spaces and hope they bring lasting enjoyment and enrichment to the Songbird Oxley community.
