The draft Yeronga Priority Development Area (PDA) Development Charges and Offset Plan (DCOP) was publicly notified between 14 March and 26 April 2022. EDQ officers have reviewed the submissions received and amended the DCOP, Infrastructure Planning Background Report (IPBR), Mapping and Schedule of Works where necessary in response to the submissions.
The DCOP was approved on 30 June 2022 with a commencement date of 1 July 2022. The final DCOP and IPBR are available on the Yeronga PDA web page.
A summary of the final charges adopted for the 2022/23 financial year is provided below. The full scope of development charges are outlined in section 2 of the DCOP.
The development charges for the Yeronga PDA align with infrastructure charges levied by Brisbane City Council and Urban Utilities in the areas surrounding the PDA ensuring the PDA remains commercial competitive. Additionally, the development charges ensure that the essential infrastructure required to service the PDA can be delivered in a financially sustainable manner.
