Work impacts

  • K Shed demolition pedestrian detour: To enable the K Shed demolition work to be carried out safely, a general exclusion zone along the MacArthur Avenue footpath near K Shed has been installed. Traffic control and a pedestrian detour are in place to direct pedestrians to the other side of MacArthur Avenue around the general exclusion zone, shown in the map below of work zones.
  • Traffic detours: will be required near the work zones and within the Northshore Brisbane precinct. For your safety, please follow signage and traffic control directions.
  • Noise, dust and vibration: these works will generate noise, dust and vibration. Measures will be in place to monitor and manage noise, dust and vibration.
  • Increased activities: there will be an increase in workforce and construction vehicle movements around the work areas. Equipment in use will involve, but not be limited to, excavators, haulage vehicles, small hand tools, concrete saws, generators, concrete trucks and pumps, water trucks and misting cannons, skid steers, crushers and vac trucks.
  • Utilities and services: construction activities may temporarily impact the supply of utilities and services. We will provide advance written notification, at least seven (7) days prior to service disruption, to properties where utilities or services will be impacted.

Throughout construction, we will continue to provide notifications of upcoming work, monitor our activities, and adjust our controls where needed.
