Construction Activities: June 2026

Welcome to the June 2026 Construction Update of the Northshore Hamilton Street Renewal Program (SRP). BMD is constructing the SRP and will prepare the western end of the precinct (adjacent to Portside Wharf) for six new development lots planned for mixed-use residential development in accordance with the Northshore Hamilton PDA Development Scheme.

BMD is continuing the delivery of the Northshore Street Renewal Program with works progressing across multiple stages throughout June.

Map of Stage 1 and Stage 2 Work Zones

Essential works to prepare the area for upgraded infrastructure and improved public spaces continue in the Stage 1 and Stage 2 work zones, as shown on the map below.

Wharf demolition is ongoing in the Stage 1 work zone, with crane operations, excavator works and diving operations also underway to remove the old marine piles. Stormwater pipes continue to be installed throughout this work zone.
